What is your refund policy?

Once you or a designated party has picked up the order and signed for it, it is considered "accepted" – we will ask to make sure that everything is correct such as the design, spelling, etc. Refunds requested due to decorating style, writing, color shade, or general design will not be honored after signing for your cake. In some instances you may bring the cake back in for design adjustments but this is an additional charge if the cake has been signed for.

All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our shop. We are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up or any time thereafter. You will be given instructions on how to carry, transport, and store your cake upon pick up. Keep in mind that cakes are very fragile and damages can happen if not handled properly – such as cracks, smudges, melted frosting, etc.

Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Full refunds requested due to flavor or texture after the cake has been accepted and picked up will only be considered if the cake is returned. You may qualify for a percentage of a store credit if the product is brought back and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes must be brought back to us within a timely manner, preferably, our next business day. Please email us promptly to let us know of the issue. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of CH&L. Please understand that we cannot issue refunds for cakes that have already been completely eaten. Store credits of any kind will not be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.

The only instance when we will provide a refund is if you come to our store for pick up or if upon delivery the cake does not meet your expectations. If you choose to accept the cake, the refund will be given as a store credit (no cash/money refunds will be given). If we give you a monetary refund, you CANNOT keep the cake. You can only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it, or leave it” policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake.

Refunds are only given within 7 days of pick up.

 

How do I order?

There are several ways to order from us! You can call the bake shop (937.912.9253) email (orders@cakehopeandlove.com), facebook message us, stop in, or submit a request here on the site. Order requests may take up to 48 hours for response. We try our best to answer everyone promptly, however, we are a super small shop and we get pretty dang crazy.

When you are ready to place your order make sure to have the date and number of servings you need in mind. These bits of info will help us get you a more accurate price quote.

When placing an order you will be asked to pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking. If the order is placed within 7 days of pick up, the full balance is required at the time of booking. We do ask that all deposits and balances be paid within 24 hours of booking. If an order is not paid, we reserve the right to cancel the order. All deposits and balances on orders being placed are non-refundable and non-transferable. We are a small bake shop and can only accept a limited number of orders each day. Once we are booked, we have to turn other orders away.

 

How much are your cakes?

This is a loaded question. It's like asking how much is a car? Well, it depends on a lot of factors. What flavor would you like, what is the design, and how many servings are you needing for your event. All of our cakes begin at $3/serving. This gets a decorated double layered cake. Specific designs that have detailed or intricate elements may incur an additional charge. If you're looking for a sculpted cake, these begin at $6/serving. Servings on sculpted cakes are based on the amount of cake we bake before sculpting. Stacked cakes are an additional $.25 per serving for each tier. Here are some general ideas of our pricing:

What are your hours?

We are open Tuesday through Friday 12 PM - 6 PM and Saturday 11 AM - 4 PM.  If you would like to inquire about an order outside of those hours feel free to use our contact form and we will get back with you within 48 hours.

Where are you located?

We are located at 1490 North Fairfield Rd Suite B inside Brookfield Station on the corner of North Fairfield Rd and Lantz Rd. in Beavercreek Ohio.  Our parking lot is located on Lantz Rd.  Beavercreek is a suburb of Dayton Ohio and we are conveniently located just off Route 35 or I-675.
